In humanitarian crises, every second counts – it’s about saving lives and alleviating suffering. The dignity and self-determination of those affected are always at the forefront – even in emergency situations.
We link our emergency aid with long-term development projects to enable sustainable improvements. In this way, the Swiss Health Alliance (SHA) makes a decisive contribution to improving the living conditions of particularly poor and disadvantaged population groups.

Since 1994, SHA has been committed to the sustainable support of the poorest communities in Afghanistan. In close cooperation with international partners, the organization provides humanitarian aid and development projects in particularly disadvantaged regions.
Key areas include the provision of basic services, the reconstruction of rural structures, and education and capacity-building programs. Special attention is paid to the reintegration of returnees and internally displaced persons.
SHA stands for confidence, stability, and the strengthening of local communities – with the goal of creating long-term prospects for a better future.
